Is it really 2012?

Yes, here you see the success I've had at blogging. I was reading Spike's blog this morning and left a comment, and when it identified me via my Google account and a fat orange "B" icon, it dawned on me that I had a blog somewhere out there and someone could probably hop right to it. I thought I'd better have a look at what stale bits lurked, and here they are. I've considered blogging this year, actually. Maybe this will be my one post for 2012.

As to the thoughts below (the one post from 2009), I've never yet managed to get an iPhone, and those apps are no longer typically the domain of the lone creative programmer. Oh well.

As I poke around on the "Blogger" site, though, I feel a renewed interest, but I'm well-aware that last time (in 2009) this lasted for exactly one post. But wait--I've just noticed the tab on my editing page here that says "Monetize", and my outlook suddenly brightens--who knew! And to think I've been slugging it out at my same old job all these years!
